Last year’s captain, Donie Broderick produced the performance of the day to win John Ivory’s captain’s prize at Ross Golf Club with a score of 69, playing off 16.
The event, on Sunday, was a great success with good weather, a large field of golfers and some very tight scores being recorded.
The course was in top class condition and there was a very enjoyable captain’s dinner and prizegiving ceremony in the clubhouse afterwards.
Captain John Ivory has thanked the greenkeepers and clubhouse staff, John Nolan and Peter Fleming for the entertainment and to Paddy O’Donoghue and his team for the catering.
Winner Donie Broderick was pushed all the way by Peter Wickham, Leo Casey and Mike O’Leary.
