THE mother of inspirational teenager Donal Walsh, the Kerry teenager whose bravery touched so many lives and led to the setting up of the #Livelife Foundation, has praised a group of Beaufort teenagers who raised funds for the charity.
Beaufort Youth Club organised a fun-filled charity ball in aid of the Foundation and in memory of the remarkable teenager who promoted the crucial live life message, despite his own ultimate fatal battle with cancer.
The Beaufort Ball, organised by youth leaders Saoirse Clifford, Aoife O’Brien, William Joy and Jack Sweeney, was held in the five-star Dunloe Hotel and members of the Kerry Diocesan Youth Service were in attendance, helping to raise a cool €2,130 for the cause.
The teenagers presented the proceeds to Donal’s mother, Elma, who later expressed her gratitude on Twitter (pictured).
