Swim distance marker buoys to create a defined swimming circuit and encourage safer swimming have been installed at Kells Bay Beach in Caherciveen by the HSE and Cork Kerry Community Healthcare.

The markers have been placed at 100 metre intervals to create a 600 metre sea swimming circuit and information signage has also been erected by Kerry County Council to identify and explain how to use the swim distance buoys.
