The second of the spectacular Magic Street parades – a key part of the Christmas in Killarney Festival – wound its way through the packed streets on Saturday night where the crowds were standing four deep to witness the greatest show in the country at this time of the year.

Magical floats, dynamic dancers, tinsel bedecked tractors, special effects and, of course, Santa Claus himself turned out for the not-to-be-missed occasion while is bigger, better and even more spectacular – if that was even possible – than ever before.

Delightful Disney characters roamed the streets to meet and greet the wide-eyed children and, such was the feelgood factor that filled the town, even the grumbling Grinch was spotted taking it all in and getting carried away by the excitement from his vantage point on high, calling out to Santa in the hope of a wave or a wink in return.

There great news is that there will be another parade next Saturday night and the weekend after before the special welcome home parade rolls through the town on December 22.
