YOUNG Diarmuid Quirke is making his mark on the sporting scene in more ways than one.
A very accomplished footballer with Milltown Castlemaine GAA Club, he is also a hugely talented badminton player and he has been rewarded for his skills and dedication with a call-up to the Kerry under 15 team.
Diarmuid will play in the Munster competition on Saturday next at the Waterford Institute of Technology and hopes are high that he will triumph on the day to spark off great celebrations in his home parish.
