THE long arm of the law reached out to grasp Cupid’s arrow at Killarney Garda Station and it culminated in a joyous wedding ceremony in St Mary’s Cathedral at the weekend.

Stunning bride Diane Ní Coileáin and dapper groom Paudie Twohig are both members of An Garda Siochana, based in Killarney, and they tied the knot in great style on Friday.

The Killarney Oaks Hotel shared this snapshot of the happy couple cutting their cake

Specialist wedding photographer, Padraig Healy, ensured the moment was captured superbly and, of course, there had to be that special moment when they re-enacted their graduation ceremony in Templemore when they tossed their Garda hats in the air. They managed to achieve that feat despite being handcuffed by Padraig, ensuring they were joined together in matrimony in more ways than one.

Diane and Paudie enjoyed a lavish reception afterwards at the Killarney Oaks Hotel where master entertainer Jack Patrick Healy and local wedding band Truly Diverse provided the entertainment after a sumptuous feast.

The wedding stylist was Pat O’Neill of the Style Suite and the make-up artists for the big occasion was Annette O’Brien.
