Derry’s original bat catching towel up for grabs

Tadhg Fleming with his parents Maureen and Derry have set up a GoFundMe page to help little Dan Donoher

HILARIOUS Kerry social media sensation Tadgh Fleming – better known as ‘The Catch Him Derry fella’ – is to make a guest appearance on the Late Late Show tonight when he joins his family for a special social distancing performance from their home in Ballymacelligott.

The energetic Tadhg became a massive social media hit in 2017 when he filmed his credit union official father trying to capture a bat in the kitchen of their home.

During tonight’s fun-filled performance, Tadgh will chat to host Ryan Tubridy about the latest member of his family to go viral, his 91-year-old grandmother Mary O’Brien, from Tonevane, Tralee, who starred in a rousing and colourful street version of the ABBA hit Mamma Mia last week.

It was such an instant hit that the video was even featured on the hugely popular James Corden Late Late Shows on CBS Television.

Joining Tadhg for the moments of magic – or madness – tonight will be his parents, Derry and Maureen, and sisters Maryanne and Sadhbh – and it will be worth tuning in just to see the kind of zany antics they get up to.

The big-hearted Flemings have also set up a GoFuneMe page for one-year-old Dan Donoher, from Laois, who has a rare and progressive spinal muscular condition and his family urgently needs funds for a treatment in the US that can help him.

Prizes up for grabs for those who donate to the GoFundMe appeal fund include afternoon tea with the Flemings, your very own ALEPSA and, the must-have star prize, Derry’s original bat catching towel. Tom donate go to gf.me/u/xykytq.

So you can forget all about keeping up with the Kardashians – it’s taking everything we’ve got trying to keep pace with the Flemings.
