Derry delights fans of fine food

CELEBRITY chef Derry Clarke served up a delectable feast to connoisseurs of fine foods and wines on a special night in the Muckross Park Hotel.

The award-winning chef Derry Clarke, owner of l’Ecrivain Restaurant in Dublin, cooked up a treat for 90 guests who embraced the opportunity to dine Michelin star for the night.

Derry’s delightful menu included a Flaggy Shore oyster served with Bloody Mary and celery granite followed by spiced parsnip velouté, seared scallop and apple.

Then came a game terrine with mushrooms, cauliflower and truffle with fourth course of dry aged sirloin, onion, celeriac, cabbage, curd and marrow followed by mulled wine jelly with poached plum and blue cheese.

The sixth and final course of the evening was lemon curd with meringue and Autumn berries and all dishes were served with accompanying wines.
