There was great action in the Scratch Cups at Deerpark Pitch and Putt Course in Killarney at the weekend with some epic battles before the winners emerged.
A total of 90 players took part and the Gerald Horgan Memorial Scratch Cup senior winner was John McGrath (143), the runner-up was Dermot Tuohy of Cill Na Mona (144) and the Final 18 prize went to Jason Cregan of Tralee (50).
In the intermediate men’s competition the winner was Eamon Sheehy of Tralee (155), the runner-up was Keith O’Brien, also Tralee (156) and the Final 18 winner was Mark Lucey of Tralee (56).
The junior men’s Seamus McLellan Memorial Scratch Cup winner was Jason Reen (166), the runner-up was Mark O’Shea (167) and the Final 18 prize went to Pa Byrne of Tralee (54).
Other prizes: Junior B men’s: Jason O’Connor (119), ladies 0-10 Julianne Broderick of Castleisland (117) and ladies 11-18: Eileen McCarthy (123).
Damien Fleming of Deerpark won the Tralee Scratch Cup senior men’s final, Mark O’Shea was the junior men’s runner-up and Eileen McCarthy won the ladies’ gross prize.
