THE death has occurred in Killarney of well-known GAA official Michael Clifford who has been president of the Fossa club for many years.
Mr Clifford, who passed away early on Tuesday morning, is survived by his wife, Noreen, children Liz, Anne, John Joe, Mick, Noreen and Patricia and his extended family,
A statement issued by his local club read: “It was with deep sadness that we learned of his passing.
“He will also be deeply missed by all his neighbours and, of course, by all of us at Fossa GAA Club.”
Mr Clifford’s remains will repose at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney on Thursday evening from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Removal will take place at 6.30pm to Fossa Parish Church.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11.00am with burial afterwards in Aghadoe Cemetery.
