A very special social media broadcast from the heart of Killarney National Park brought the wonderful dawn chorus into homes throughout the county and beyond in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Conservation ranger Mary Sheehan, Sam Bayley and Padruig O’Sullivan guiding listeners and followers with their expert knowledge of the sounds of the birdsong from Muckross Abbey at 5.00am.
Sound technicians Kieran Somers, right and Denis Lovett, from the INEC, Killarney provided the audio for the event which was livestreamed with accompanying music recorded by local performers Niamh Ní Charra, Sharon Lyons and Bryan O’Leary.
