Davy receives lifetime achievement award

Club legend Davy Herlihy has been honoured for his years of dedicated service to Spa GAA Club.

He was presented with the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the club’s annual get-together at Hilliard’s on Main Street on Saturday night.

Davy, a great full forward in his day, was lauded for his enormous contribution, both on and off the field of play, over several decades.

He was a hugely popular choice when the club members gathered for their big social event of the year in Saturday night.

Another very popular winner was Anne Holland – a hugely dedicated club administrator – who was presented with the cultural and social award for her work with the Scór committee and other club activities.

Eoin Fitzgerald was named senior player of the year, Gina Looney was ladies’ player of the year, Danny Coffey was named young player of the year while Michael Kearney was junior player of the year.
