Six-year-old Michael Hellard and his four-year-old brother Christopher Hellard had a day to remember at Listowel Races when they were joint winners of the under 16 category in the popular Forever in Blue Jeans fashion contest.
Smartly dressed in race attire of warm autumn jackets and denim blue jeans, the young cool dudes caught the eye of event judge, model and actor, Timmy Dowd, eye and each went home €50 richer.
Margaret Coffey from Listowel proved to be a winner alright in the adult category and won €200 for her stylish denim ensemble of a jacket and matching skirt from Pamela Scott with an embellished blouse from Blossom in Listowel, accessorised with red jewellery and heels.
This is the third year the event has been sponsored by O’Connor’s Hardware and Farms Supplies and the prizes were presented by Sadie and Larry O’Connor.
