The legend returns to the limelight.

Daniel O’Donnell and special guests performing at the INEC in Killarney will be broadcast to the nation in the long-awaited country music series of concerts, Opry le Daniel, returns on TG4 from Tuesday, October 1.

Opry le Daniel ar Thuras is presented by Ireland’s leading country music artist who hosted the biggest names in country music from the world stage such as Charley Pride, Crystal Gayle and Rita Coolidge.

Also featured will be Ireland’s home-grown talent Margo, Mike Denver, Louise Morrisey, Roly Daniels and, of course, the king and queen of Irish country music Big Tom and Philomena Begley.

Recorded before a live audience, TG4 television’s highest rating country music series of concerts offers a different music theme each night and a host of special guests will join Daniel on stage to perform.

The first show will see Irish country music favourites Jimmy Buckley, Mike Denver and, all the way from Branson, Missouri, the renowned ‘Teddy Bear Song’ recording artist Barbara Fairchild.

In the following weeks, the shows will feature new artists who have never before performed on the Opry stage, including Eurovision song contest winner, Dana, Frances Black and newcomers Gavin Gribben, Chrissy Mac, Lauren McCrory, Onóir and Meadhbh Walsh.

Tune in on Tuesday next at 9.30pm for the 2024 series of Opry le Daniel ar Thuras – all the way from Killarney.
