
HAVING stepped and danced her way to numerous titles and helping many others to achieve similar goals at a local, provincial and national level, Triona Mangan is to be rewarded for her efforts by the local GAA club to which she devoted so much time and energy.
The Irish dancing specialist, who has coached teams to All-Ireland success in Scór competitions and other events, in various age categories, will be the recipient of the Social and Cultural Person of the Year award from her beloved Spa GAA Club.
It will be presented at a gala awards ceremony in the Torc Hotel, Killarney on Saturday, February 1 and the event is expected to be a complete sell-out.

Triona will not be the only club member in the spotlight on the night as a special Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Dinny Doolan in recognition of his long service and dedication to the club, both on and off the field of play.
Three of the stars of East Kerry’s terrific county championship campaign – Evan Cronin, Dan O’Donoghue and James Devane – have been shortlisted for the Senior Player of the Year award while the Ladies Player of the Year nominees are Katie O’Connor, Mags Cronin and Ciara Moynihan.
Shane Fenton has been chosen as Junior Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year is Thomas Cronin.

Meanwhile, Spa and East Kerry players Dara Moynihan and Evan Cronin presented the medals to the club’s under 14 squad following their East Kerry Division 3 title victory. The under 14 coaches were Pat O’Neill, Kieran McCarthy, Des Spillane, Donagh Cronin, Michael Finnegan and David O’Sullivan.
