Outgoing chairman Damien Fleming has been honoured by Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club for his seven years of service in the role.
He really excelled in the position, despite being based outside of the county and he was a leader for Deerpark on and off the field of play.
Damien was the recipient of the Dan O’Leary Memorial Club Person of the Year award which was presented for the first time since 2019and he was honoured at the final social event of the club’s 50th anniversary held at Murphy’s Bar.
Meanwhile, Jack Rudden tuned on the style to win the club’s under 16 Christmas hamper competition, sponsored by Jason O’Connor, with Ben Kelliher having the best gross.
Mark Carroll was the other hamper winner as he also won the Scratch Cup for having the best gross second 18 of the day.
