Odds of 10/1 are being offered on Kerryman Daithi Ó Sé taking over as host of the Late Late Show.

After 14 years at the helm, Ryan Tubridy today announced that he will step back from the job later this year and leading bookmaker Ladbrokes has already seen mounting interest in who will replace him in the presenter’s chair.

Rose of Tralee host Daithí, who presents the afternoon chat show Today with Maura Derrane is available at 10/1 alongside radio host Brendan O’Connor but Prime Time presenter

Ryan Tubridy: Stepping back

Miriam Ó’Callaghan has been installed as the firm favourite at odds of 3/1.

The hugely popular Claire Byrne is also in the running at 6/1 to make a return to TV, after stepping back from Claire Byrne Live late last year while Ray D’Arcy, no stranger to chat show hosting duties, is also in the mix at 8/1 to take over.

Funnyman Tommy Tiernan, whose quirky Saturday night chat show is a smash hit, due mainly to his unique interviewing style, can be backed at 16/1 respectively.

The other odds being offered are 18/1 for both Prime Time and radio presenter Sarah McInerney and the recently announced co-host of Virgin Media’s Six O’Clock show Greg O’Shea, 33/1 Marty Morrissey, 40/1 Alan Hughes, 50/1 Martin King are 50/1 Gavan Reilly.
