Cyclist injured in collision with car

A CYCLIST taking part in an adventure race in Killarney this Saturday sustained serious injuries when his bicycle was in a collision with a car.

The incident occurred shortly after 11 o’clock this morning on a narrow stretch of road at Moll’s Gap, on the main Ring of Kerry road.

The cyclist, a male in his 30s, was removed by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry and it is understood that the injuries he suffered are severe.
