The Brendan Martin Cup took pride of place on the podium – and it was in safe keeping.

Escorting the precious silverware on the occasion was none other than Danielle O’Leary from Rathmore who was one of the star performers in Kerry’s All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship success.
Danielle was one of 600 students to graduate at the gala ceremony and, needless to say, the Brendan Martin Cup was in big demand for selfies on the day.

Another GAA star to graduate was Dr Fionán Mackessy who previous lined out for the Kerry senior hurling team and is currently considering transferring to Kilkenny where he is working.
The graduations, held in the MTU Kerry Sports Academy, saw close on 600 students from diverse disciplines across the schools of business, computing and humanities, science, technology, engineering, maths, health and social care receiving their awards.
