A HUGELY respected eco expert will deliver what promises to be a fascinating lecture on the integrated constructed wetland concept as part of the autumn series of talks in the Garden Room of Killarney House this Thursday night, October 25, (8.00pm).
Rory Harrington is a graduate of University College Dublin and Yale University, USA and he is currently a senior scientist with VESI Environmental Ltd in Cork.
Over the past 30 years he pioneered what has become known as the integrated constructed wetland concept, which is increasingly used to sustainably treat a wide range of polluted water sources, including municipal waste water, landfill and mining leachate and animal and industrial wastewater.
Mr Harrington collaborates with a range of institutions throughout Ireland and other countries including Finland, Sweden, Britain, China, UK, USA and New Zealand.
The free lecture will commence at 8.00pm and all are welcome.
