THE long-serving general manager at the Malton Hotel in Killarney has announced that he is leaving the post.
Conor Hennigan issued a statement this evening confirming that his time at the hotel has come to an end after 17 years at the helm.
“When the Scally family bought the hotel it was agreed that I assist in every way with the transitional period. The time has now come for me to move on with my career and pursue other ventures,” he said.
Mr Hennigan, a prominent and popular figure in the Irish tourism industry and a former Fáilte Ireland board member, said he had the privilege of working with some great people and welcoming delightful guests down through the years.
“I have enjoyed every minute of my time here as general manager,” he stated.
“I believe that I am leaving a great team and a wonderful business model that is well positioned to take advantage of the upswing in our economy and a growing overseas market.”
