
A YOUNG Beaufort man with a passion for politics has helped the Kerry branch of Young Fine Gael to win an award for being the best in the country.
Co Louth where members had an opportunity to express their views on a broad range of issues, such as the Brexit fallout and the new minority government structure.
Conor Joy from Beaufort was part of the team selected as the best youth branch and he was joined for the presentation by cumann chairman Art O’Mahony from Castleisland.
At the gathering Young Fine Gael supported the motion to hold a border poll with the aim of achieving a united Ireland and to reinstate support for the European Union.
