It’s Colm Cooper day at the races

Over the last: Colm Cooper at Killarney Racecourse

COLM Copper will be honoured at Killarney Races next week when a race is named after him on the opening day of the four-day July meeting.

The Dr Crokes and former Kerry star, the holder of eight All-Star awards and five All-Ireland medals, will be the guest of honour at a reception held in the hospitality suites of the Bunrower track on Monday, July 17.

Colm, who has always supported his local racecourse and previously officially launched the races, will be honoured for his achievement and commitment to the Kerry team throughout the course of his brilliant playing career.

On the same evening the Dr Crokes senior team will be acknowledged for this success in this year’s All-Ireland Club Championship and a three-course meal will be served in the hospitality suites.

Additional tickets for the event can be purchased for €45 per head which includes dinner and admission to the course.
