SHE has provided expert advice and information to tens of thousands of visitors to Killarney down through the years but popular Rene Dooley has now folded away her guide maps for the last time as she retires from the Fáilte Ireland Tourist Information Centre in Killarney.
Rene has been a wonderful ambassador for the tourism industry – not only in Kerry but throughout Ireland – and she had dedicated the past 25 years to her role as senior travel advisor with Fáilte Ireland.
Her knowledge of Kerry was a real strong point and the great experience she had built up meant she was perfectly positioned to advise and guide visitors to locations, events and attractions that most suited their specific requirements and interests.
Although they are very sorry to see her go, her colleagues at Fáilte Ireland headquarters in Killarney gathered to make a presentation to Rene to mark her retirements and to thank her for her great work and friendship over the years.
