Coach Cormac happy with big win

KILLARNEY’S Scott’s Lakers got back to winning ways at the weekend with a comprehensive victory on the road against Limerick Celtics.

Following two successive defeats, coach Cormac O’Donoghue will be relieved that the early season form has been restored and Lakers were always in control in this encounter.

They led 24-15 at the end of the first quarter, 45-35 at the halfway mark and they had edged 73-51 in front by the close of the third quarter.

When the final buzzer sounded, Killarney had registered a comfortable 98-74 win with American Sean O’Brien returning to form with 29 points, Bosman signing Papito Hersisia netting 22 and Seamus Brosnan on nine.

Turrell Morris hit 29 for Celtics with Fabio Hernandez on 13 and Shane O’Connell on11.

Lakers will be away to Dublin Lions in the National Cup next Saturday.
