A WEEK out from their eagerly-anticipated All-Ireland semi-final clash with Mayo, Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice has reported a clean bill of health as the Kingdom strive to book a September date with either Dublin or Tyrone at headquarters

Although there were some concerns about the fitness of James O’Donoghue following a disappointing display against Galway in the quarter-final, it has been confirmed that the Killarney Legion star is fine having recovered from a knock sustained in the build-up to the last 16 clash on July 30.

Kilcummin’s industrious playmaker Kevin McCarthy, who had been starting at centre forward in the championship games up to the quarter-final, which he missed through a quad injury, is back training and reported to be in good shape while Bryan Sheehan has finally recovered from a niggling hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since before the National League final victory over Dublin.

The one squad member ruled out of the Mayo clash is Denis Daly who suffered an ankle injury in a club game.
