A supremely talented Killarney vocal arts performer is causing quote a stir in the industry and she is contemplating moving to the USA to further develop her already exciting career.
Ciara Payne, from Scart, Farranfore, has been very active in the vocal arts for several years and she has already proved to be a smash hit through her involvement in a number of high profile projects.
Ciara (27) started her voice work during the Covid pandemic, training and working alongside experienced and tenured artists in her chosen field.
That was soon followed by the construction of a specialised home-sound booth which has allowed her work to flourish

In London she voiced Princess Elizabeth and over 20 other characters in the massively popular video game Fallout: London last July and her work earned her excellent reviews with coverage by Forbes, the BBC and many other media outlets.
Ciara’s portfolio is very extensive and other work highlights include popular video games My Time at Sandrock, Mani Mani People and Dooro Bear and she has also been selected as the voice of a bellboy life-sized figure at Legoland, UK.
“The voiceover community succeeds because of networking,” Ciara told KillarneyToday.com.

“The pandemic, along with advances in technology over the last decade, has made it easier to cooperate and learn from the best,” she added.
Now with one eye focused on possible big challenges in the USA, Ciara said she is very excited about what the future will bring.
The daughter of Geoff and Sharon Payne (née O’Donoghue), former Holy Cross Mercy National School and St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School pupil Ciara’s family is steeped in the arts.
Her grandfather, former Killarney Town Clerk, the late Patrick O’Donoghue, tread the boards with the Killarney Players in the 1950s and 60s and her aunt, Gail O’Donoghue performed with the Killarney Musical Society in the 1990s.
