Choir sings out for the youth of Kerry

Tim O’Donoghue: KDYS supporting young people, no matter what

A SPECIAL performance by the renowned Michael O’Neal Festival Chorus from Roswell in Georgia, US will take place in St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney at 7.15pm on Wednesday, May 30.

The choir`s repertoire will include a range of well-loved Irish and American folk songs as well as a selection of spiritual favourites and, while the event is free to attend, donations to the Kerry Diocesan Youth Service would be welcome on the night.

The event is part of the Team KDYS activities for the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle campaign as the organisation will be one of the beneficiaries this July.

Chief Executive, Tim O’Donoghue, said the KDYS is honoured and proud to have been chosen as a main charity partner in this year’s cycle.

“We are calling for cyclists to join our team and cycle to support the young people of Kerry. Events like this allow us a chance to reaffirm our commitment to supporting all young people, no matter what,” he said.

“Despite all the challenges facing young people, the KDYS is committed to building futures for all young people and the communities they live in,” Tim added.

Anyone who wants to support young people in Kerry by getting involved in the cycle can contact ringofkerry@kdys.ie or 087-6242722.
