A KILLARNEY chef has lifted the lid on his debut cookbook which he hopes to serve up to a big audience during the busy summer season.

Mark Doe spent several months writing and planning for his first venture into the world of publishing and the end result was formally launched at a reception in Churchtown House, Beaufort on Thursday night.

Mark, who runs Just Cooking with his wife, Bernie, has included over 40 of his favourite recipes between the covers of the glossy book which is illustrated with some creative photographs of the dishes featured.

The book, priced at €14, also includes some great advice and tips to help readers to take their home cooking to another level.
Mark and Bernie have operated the very successful Just Cooking school at their home in Firies since 2007 and they are happy to share their passion for fine foods and great culinary techniques in the new book.

They also run a food consultancy and Mark is in big demand for classes, demonstrations and other commercial events.

He has spent over 20 years working in some of Europe’s finest hotels and restaurants, including The Ritz and Four Seasons Hotel in London, the Merrion Hotel and Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links in Dublin and the Queen Elizabeth II cruise liner.
