Two Killarney secondary school students are organising a fundraising coffee morning in aid of a charity that provides financial assistance to families of children with life-limiting illnesses.
Muireann O’Donoghue and Sinead Byrne, transition students in St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School, are holding the event to support Cliona’s Foundation which relies on donations and sponsorship to assist the families who may be experiencing financial difficulties whilst caring for a child.

The coffee morning will be held in the Old Weir Lodge on Muckross Road, Killarney on Saturday next, January 13, from 10.00am until 12.30pm.
Next May the two girls will travel to Spain to walk the Camino with Cliona’s Foundation (www.clionas.ie).
They have paid the cost of travel, accommodation and food themselves but they need to raise an additional €2,000 for the charity in advance of the trip. All monies raised through the coffee morning will go directly to the charity.
The girls said they are looking forward to welcoming a large crowd to the event on Saturday and hope that many of their families and friends will support this very worthy cause.
Those unable to attend but would like to donate the girls have set up an iDonate page which can be accessed via the following link. https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/MuireannODonoghue.
