Champions Kerry will face a trip to the Rebel County to face old rivals Cork in the opening round of this year’s Munster Ladies Gaelic Football Championships.
That round one game will take place on April 26 – giving Kerry sufficient time to recover from their exertions in the National League – and Mark Bourke’s side will be on the hunt for back-to-back provincial titles having triumphed in Munster and the All-Ireland series last season.
The second round sees Tipperary at home against Cork, with Waterford welcoming reigning Kerry to the Déise.
The final round stage will decide on our final pairings, with Waterford and Kerry having home advantage.
Munster LGFA President, Robbie Smyth, congratulated Kerry on their dominant performance and fabulous win over Armagh in the Division 1 Lidl National Football League Final held in Croke Park last weekend.
He also commiserated with Cork who are a very young team who were up against top opposition Galway in the Division 2 final.
