GHOULS, goblins, ghosts, witches, superheroes turned bad and blood – plenty of blood – made for a truly spooktacular Sunday at Killarney Outlet Centre as it hosted its eerie Hallowe’en Fancy Dress Party at the weekend.
It wasn’t exactly a zombie takeover but it wasn’t far from it and things were going bump in the day – all day – as Killarney embraced its dark side.
It wasn’t all guts and gore, however, as some super prizes were given away by Killarney Outlet Centre General Manager, Paul Sherry, and his fun-loving team.

The best dressed boy and girl, Rowan Hirrell and Feile O’Sullivan, both won a Flicker A3 Air Scooter, sponsored by O’Connor’s World of Wonder and Shane Scadding was the winner of the best adult prize of a family pass for the Killarney Ghost Tour.
Leah and Emma Reidy and Florence and Reidin O’Meara, were the winners of the best dressed family prize of a fabulous family break in the Twin Trees Hotel and Leisure Club in Ballina, Co Mayo, sponsored by Select Hotels Group Ireland.
All entrants on the day were asked to donate €1 in support of Killarney Rotary Club’s End Polio Now campaign and every child received a goodie bag.
Far from an all-out horror show, the fun-filled day featured bouncy castles, free Hallowe’en face painting and free Hallowe’en-themed recycled arts and crafts workshops. There was free children’s entertainment with spooky storytelling sessions and Punch and Judy puppet shows in the Yurt.
Killarney Candle Makers and Clay Fun were also on hand to help create personalised candles or clay designs and a small materials charge applies.
