Killarney Celtic News compiled by Jimmy O’Sullivan Darcy

Denny Premier: Killarney Celtic 7 Camp United 0
Celtic got right back to winning ways with a stunning masterclass against a game but hapless Camp outfit. Cathal O’Shea scored a hat-trick, with Trevor Nagle scoring twice and the Camp defence, under sustained pressure, twice turning the ball into their own net.

Denny Premier B: Asdee 5 Killarney Celtic B 2
This was an exciting game and much closer than it sounds. Asdee’s young keeper Eoin Tydings had an absolute stormer and pulled off some stunning saves.

Under 17 League: Killarney Celtic 4 Iveragh United 2
An understrength Iveragh deserve credit for putting up a great battle before succumbing to a hat-trick from Stephen McCarthy and a Conor McCarthy goal.

Under 15 Division 1: Killarney Celtic B 5 Killarney Athletic 4
An absolute screamer of a game between two superb and well-matched sides. Celtic just edged the nine goal thriller thanks to an Eamon Murphy hat-trick, a Trevor O’Shea penalty, and a sensational goal by Cian McCarthy. Pierce Lyne Roberts was absolutely outstanding.

Under 13 National Cup: Ringmahon 1 Killarney Celtic 1 (Celtic lost 4-2 on penalties)
Celtic put up a great battle away to Ringmahon Rangers. A Ruairi Doyle goal saw Celtic draw in normal time butthere were no further goals in extra time. Cian Dineen and Ryan O’Grady were the two successful Celtic players from the spot.

Under 13 Division 1: Mastergeeha 6 Killarney Celtic B 0
Celtic tried hard but couldn’t make inroads on an excellent Mastergeeha.

Under 13 Division 1: Killarney Athletic 8 Killarney Celtic C 1
Athletic are the league leaders and showed why with a spellbinding display that overwhelmed Celtic but the lads battled very bravely and never gave up.

Under 12 Girls: Killarney Celtic 2 Inter Kenmare 2
There has been very little between these teams all season and so it proved again. Jessica Leahy scored twice while Katie Brosnan and Holly Power stood out for Celtic.

Under 11: With only two opposition teams turning up to play our three teams, we decided to split up the teams and play three 25-minute matches to give every player equal playing time. As it happens, we lost narrowly to Dynamos and beat Iveragh narrowly, but as always results are completely immaterial at this grade, it is all about enjoyment and sportsmanship.
