Rotarians in Killarney organise several events each year and the activities include the hugely successful annual charity wine and art evening, youth leadership awards for secondary school students, afternoon team fundraisers, formal interviews to help Leaving Cert students preparing for employment and college opportunities.

The club was chartered on June 8, 1983 and John O’Shea, now a retired jeweller, had the honour of becoming the first president.

A welcome visitor to the latest Rotary Club launch was Kenny Fisher who is the Rotary District Governor Ireland, and his wife Betty.
