Cassandra Buckley: New strength and conditioning coach

CASSANDRA Buckley from the Spa club in Killarney will have a major role to play with the Kerry senior ladies’ football squad for the next three seasons.

A talented footballer herself, she has been appointed as strength and conditioning coach to the squad as part of a new-look management set up ratified by the county board,

Former Kerry senior star Declan Quill and Darragh Long have been ratified as joint managers for the three-year term.

Quill, a Kerins O’Rahilly’s clubman, will join forces with Austin Stacks man Long in their quest to lead the Kerry girls on their quest for league and championship glory.

Their backroom team will also consist of Kerry ladies’ legend Geraldine O’Shea from Corca Dhuibhne and Annemarie O’Donoghue from Beaufort as selectors.
