A new general manager has been appointed to the five-star Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa in Killarney.
Carmel Guihen, a native of Co Clare, succeeds Ewan Plenderleith who has joined the Delata Hotel Group.
She has over 20 years of experience in hotel management and hospitality and she joins the team in Killarney from Fota Island Resort and Spa in Cork where she was also general manager.
Carmel began her career at the Doonbeg Hotel and Resort in Co Clare and subsequently took up a senior management position at Dromoland Castle Hotel before moving to Fota.
She said she is very much looking forward to playing a role in the continued success and development of the Aghadoe Heights where the owners, the Windward Group, said Carmel’s passion for customer service, attention to detail and creating a good work environment will be an asset.
