IT was a humdinger of a game, played with full championship fervour, but Kerry came out on top, with two points to spare, in their Munster Minor Ladies A Championship semi-final clash with Tipperary in Mallow on Saturday.
The game could have gone either way right up to the close but, in the end, Kerry’s greater experience, their refusal to panic and their ability to pick off key scores at opportune times proves the difference.
The Kingdom can now look forward to a Munster Final showdown with great rivals Cork on May 7.
Meanwhile, at senior level, Kerry’s National League Campaign ended on a losing note when they fell 1-11 to 1-16 to Dublin at DCU on Saturday.
The Dubs finished on top of the table but Kerry had already made the drop from the top flight.
