A KILLARNEY student who achieved outstanding results in her Leaving Certificate examinations has been awarded a prestigious Quercus Entrance Scholarship to University College Cork for the 2021/22 academic year.
Diligent student Ailbhe Gammell completed her studies in St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School last summer and achieved exceptional grades in her exams and is now setting out on college life and what promises to be a great career in her chosen field which is Nutritional Science.
The recipients of the scholarship are selected on the basis of being among the top 15 students in their college with respect to Leaving Certificate points achievement.
In a message to their former star pupil, St Brigid’s Secondary School said: “Well done Ailbhe on this outstanding achievement – we are so proud of you”.
