THERE’S no ruffing it at the Black Sheep Hostel in Killarney which has just been named the best hostel in Ireland in the hotly contested HOSCAR awards.
And Bob the resident dog – and his faithful companion Lou – are delighted to be centre of attention since the new was revealed.
The ultra-cool Bob is usually found pottering around the organic vegetable garden trying to figure out where he buried his bone but this week he is basking in the limelight of celebrity and happily posing for the cameras.
Owned by Kevin Leahy, it was confirmed of the winner of the top award by Hostelworld which oversees the hostel experience for travellers across the globe.
The adjudicators said of the New Street business: “This award reflects your team’s continuous efforts and dedication to ensuring your guests are at the heart of everything you do.”
