BikeFest was a really colourful spectacle

Leather and denim was the uniform of choice at the weekend as hundreds of bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts descended on the town for the return of the colourful Ireland BikeFest.

The country’s largest motorcycle festival attracted a bumper crowd who enjoyed daily ride-outs, heavy metal music by a variety of tribute bands and a real carnival atmosphere in the specially erected BikeFest village.

There was something to suit every age and taste with a funfair, food stalls and live acts lined up to entertain the masses.

Bikers from around the world are currently arrived to the town and after a two-year hiatus and festival organisers lined up retail stands and traders, merchandise and a Harley-Davidson experiential zone where members of the public enjoyed trial spins on a motorcycle simulator.
