
BRILLIANT Beaufort romped to victory in the All-Ireland Community Game under 11 tag rugby finals at the weekend.
The produced a super performance in Limerick under the guidance of Diarmuid O’Malley who is Killarney Rugby Football Club’s senior team coach.
Many of the team also play competitive rugby with Killarney and possess all the skills required to make an impression as they progress up through the ranks.
The Beaufort squad was Joseph Coffey, Ronan Coffey, Ciara Eager, Luke O’Malley, Fionn Kennedy, Brook O’Sullivan, Isabel O’Shea, Harry O’Shea, Conor Hughes, Lilly Riordan and Ellen Moriarty.
Meanwhile, Killarney Rugby Club’s minis section will return to training next Saturday at Aghadoe, between 10.30am and 12 noon. Minis rugby is open to boys and girls born between 2008 and 2014 and further information is available from coordinator Liam Murphy on 087-4145662.
