SECTIONS of Killarney National Park will be closed to the public in the coming days to facilitate essential road surface repairs and improvements.
The works will take place in Knockreer in the town centre, at Muckross House and from Muckross Abbey to the main gate as well as the southern section of the Dinis Loop, from Brickeen Bridge to the intersection with the N72
The contractor will operate a system of rolling road and track closures for short periods for the duration of the contract.
Works has already commenced on the Muckross House to the Muckross Abbey section this week and management of Killarney National Park and the National Parks and Wildlife Service have asked the public to take all precautions period and to obey the road closures as they occur.
They said they regret any inconvenience the essential road safety works may cause and would greatly appreciate the public’s cooperation.
