Kerry All-Ireland winner Aoife Dillane has been awarded a prestigious gold scholarship award by Mary Immaculate College in Limerick.
The 22-year-old Kerry and Austin Stacks defender is one of five recipients in the college’s Elite Sports Scholarship Scheme in recognition of their outstanding sporting achievements.
The scheme is delivered through a bursary and additional benefits with the gold scholarship valued at €4,000.
The awards are aimed at helping students to balance their commitment to furthering their academic and sporting careers in tandem.
Student teacher Aoife received a silver scholarship award at Mary Immaculate last year.
