TWO sisters-in-law from Killarney, who have set up an informative and innovative Early Years Education social media platform for educators, carers, parents and guardians, have launched a podcast which features contributions from professionals in the areas of nutrition, therapies, teachers and business owners.
The Little Steps, Big Futures podcast was established by Aoife Murphy and Jenny McCarthy to provide valuable assistance to parents and those with an interest in early education techniques and practices.
Their work also features prominently on Instagram and Facebook and Aoife and Jenny are well qualified to offer tips and advice as they both possess a BA in Early Years Education.
Their podcast (https://linktr.ee/LittleStepsBigFutures) recently featured a guest named Morgan Buckley who spoke about her sister, Mia, who has a very rare condition called Chromosome Deletion Syndrome 13q. The condition means she has to be PEG Fed and lives with autism, epilepsy, hypotonia and other serious ailmen
“The response we got from that episode was amazing and because of that, we have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser for the Cork University Hospital Children’s Charity and BUMBLEance which transports sick children between home to hospital,” said Aoife
“This Christmas we would love to help raise money for both of these amazing services to help them get new equipment or resources or buy toys and gifts for all the children who will be spending their Christmas in hospital,” said Jenny.
“This year has been so tough on everybody but if you could donate something to this fundraiser, we know it will make all the children”.
