Another 453 Covid cases confirmed today

Of the cases notified today, 250 are female and 203 are male

A FURTHER 453 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed this Monday but no additional deaths have been notified.

The newly diagnosed cases sees the total number of people infected in the county since the start of the pandemic to beyond the quarter of a million mark.

No county breakdown of new cases was revealed today, in keeping with recent weekend trends.

There have been 4,906 fatalities and the number of known cases now stands at 250,290.

129 Covid-19 patients were in hospital early this morning with 40 in intensive care. There have been five additional hospital admissions due to the disease in the past 24 hours.

Of the cases notified today, 250 are female and 203 are male with 78 per cent under 45 years of age. The median age of those affected is 25.
