Anna and Molly set to take on the world

TWO stunning young Kerry models have been selected as finalists in this year’s Miss Universe Ireland pageant.

Anna Cahill, from Rossbeigh, Glenbeigh, will face the adjudicators at the gala ceremony in the Mansion House, Dublin on Thursday, August 2.

The 21-year-old is a former student at Intermediate School Killorglin and she is the daughter of Brenda and Kerry County Council member, Cllr Michael Cahill. The young Rossbeigh woman has fast become one of Upfront’s top models featuring in bridal, fashion and commercial shoots and on the RTÉ Today Show

“I am thrilled to be a finalist in Miss Universe Ireland and to represent my home county of

Kerry in the national finals in Dublin,” Anna said.

Another glamorous Kerry contestant in the Miss Universe Ireland pageant is Molly Sullivan from Ballyhar, Killarney.

Anna has become one of her agency’s top models

An accomplished athlete, she has won numerous honours in both rowing and show-jumping and, in addition to working as a model, Molly aspires to compete with for the Irish team in showjumping.

Studying law and psychology in university, she moved to Australia for six months bit, now back home, she hopes to work with cancer charities and focus on some of the hard issues facing the country, like significant increase in suicide.

Miss Universe Ireland is a national beauty pageant that has selected Ireland’s representative for the Miss Universe pageant since 2002. The winner will be involved with events, brands and charitable causes that will help communities across Ireland.
