A VERY kind-hearted Killarney girl has had an incredible 20 inches cut off her beautiful flowing locks to raise funds and awareness for a good cause.
Nine-year-old Aoibhe Bartlett, from Firies, Killarney, has been growing her hair for the past two years but she volunteered to subject it to the full scissors treatment in aid of the Rapunzel Foundation.

Aoibhe is donating all the money that she raised to the Fuchsia Comfort Fund in St Columbanus Home in Killarney where staff did an amazing job caring for her grandad, Tim Bartlett.
Gentleman Tim, from Coolgraine Park, was very well known and well liked in Killarney where he worked for many years as a traffic warden and he served with Killarney Fire Service throughout much of his life.
The late Tim’s first anniversary occurs this August.
Deirdre Lyne, of Halo Hair Salon on Killarney’s High Street, did a fantastic job cutting Aoibhe’s hair and everyone will agree, the young lady from Firies looks just as beautiful with her new hairstyle as she did beforehand.
