MOTORISTS driving in the Barleymount and Aghadoe area of Killarney this Monday night have been warned to be on the alert for roaming deer that have been wandering on to the main roads.
They pose a real risk to drivers travelling along dimly lit side roads, in particular.
Fossa Community Alert issued a warning at 8.15pm tonight urging people to take great care.
People are encouraged to drive slowly and to be aware of the presence of the animals on the roadways.
Several accidents involving deer in the greater Fossa area have occurred in recent months.
