AHERN’S BMW in Castleisland have announced further developments at their base to incorporate the sale and service of electric vehicles under the BMW i brand.
Aherns will be making a substantial investment to upgrade the facility on the Castleisland site in the coming weeks to cater for the new product range.
Confirming the contract signing with BMW Group Ireland, Paul Ahern, Head of Business, remarked: “We have great confidence in the BMW brand and we are very excited by the future product pipeline and the direction that the BMW Group is heading in”.
He added: “We have been BMW retailers for many years and we are very proud to be continuing our relationship with such a strong automotive brand. We would also like to thank all of our customers for their fantastic support over the years – it is very much appreciated.”
Paulo Alves, Managing Director for BMW Group Ireland, said Aherns have consistently demonstrated excellence in customer service and this year received an award for the best retailer in customer care.
“We are looking forward to growing this relationship in the coming years,” he stated.
Aherns will continue to offer the full range of BMW diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid vehicles and this announcement means that they will now offer the full range of BMW i electric vehicles.
The electric range is expanding for BMW and they expect to have at least 25 fully electric vehicles in the range by 2025. The BMW i3 is now available to test drive at Aherns.
