A WONDERFUL evening of high quality Christmas entertainment is being lined up for St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday, December 20, commencing at 7.30pm.
A Ray of Hope will feature the Kerry International Choir who will present a feast of festive season songs and hymns, readings and reflections.
The performers will include Killarney’s own Grace Foley, the Killarney Golf Club Choir and the Foley sisters, Lily and Jean, and a great night of entertainment is guaranteed.

The Kerry International Choir was formed last years after an impromptu sing-song at a Killarney Asylum Seekers Initiative (KASI) Christmas party and a number of those involved have been enjoying weekly sing-alongs on Zoom during the Covid lockdown.
One of the organisers of the concert, Sheila Casey, said they decided to get together to do something a little bit special for the festive season and they have received great support from Killarney Parish Administrator, Fr Kieran O’Brien, who is happy to make the cathedral available on the night.
“We hope it will lift people a little bit coming out of the Covid pandemic and give them an evening of good entertainment where they can just sit back, relax and enjoy themselves without worrying about anything else,” Sheila Casey said.
The master of ceremonies on the night will be hotelier Michael Rosney. There will be no admission fee but donations on the night to go towards the cost of lighting, heating and maintenance of the cathedral would be greatly appreciated.
In keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, entry will be by ticket only and a limited amount of tickets are available at the parish office and in the Friary shop.
To cater for everybody, the concert will also be live-streamed on the parish webcam and it will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
